Ok, so with four kids and more animals than I want to admit to, I am constantly on the hunt for better cleaning products. And extra points if it’s a product that the kids can effectively use. I have 2 or 3 versions of Swiffers and I love them. Swiffers are definitely easier than a mop and a bucket which I also have. The kids love using the Swiffers but it seems like I’m constantly out of the pads or cleaning solution. (Or the batteries are low.) I don’t blame Swiffer, they probably didn’t account for children who would go spray-happy while using it. 😉 Either way, I kept replacing the pads, cleaning solution, and batteries because it was so easy and smelled so good!
That is until the day I saw this.
The O-Cedar ProMist Max (microfiber spray mop).
It comes with washable pads, no batteries, and you use regular household cleaner (diluted). There are fancy directions on the bottles to show you how much cleaner and water to use. And, bonus, the pads can double as a sponge if you can’t find the one that you just saw a moment ago!? 😉
So my $21.78 plus $7.48 for 2 extra pads (at Walmart) investment was surprisingly thrifty since the only additional future expenses are household cleaner that you would buy anyway and the detergent you use to wash the mopping pads.
Like other mops of this type, it isn’t ideal for deep cleaning projects. So, don’t throw away the mop and bucket! But, for daily cleaning (ok, maybe sometimes every other day at my house, I’m not going to lie, haha), it’s great.
For now, the kids still enjoy using it so I rarely actually clean with this myself. I can’t think of a better reason to love it than that, haha.
And, also, it’s red. Red is cool. 😉

I've had this one for a while and love it. I'm thinking of buying a second for upstairs. The only problem is that the sprayer will eventually clog. So I have a spray bottle I use instead. Works great though and I love the reusable pads!

That's a good idea to get one for upstairs! If I had to go downstairs for it, it would be hard for me to find the motivation to go back up. haha. I'm sad to hear that it will clog, but sounds like the spray bottle is a good solution. 🙂
