Who doesn’t love a dinner party with friends? It’s super important to make sure you know who can and can’t eat what. One of the most kind things you can do for a friend is to take him seriously. And after that is sorted, here are some ideas for what to serve!
Salad
This is a staple at any dinner party. Check out this amazing winter salad recipe. You may also want to put your own spin on it. You could add different meats like shrimp or chicken.
Soup
Another great starter that a lot of people love is soup with a small roll. This can be a wonderful dish to serve as you can make it all in one pan and then leave it to sit for as long as you need. If you are storing it overnight, be sure to decant it and keep it in the fridge. When you want to use it, you can either heat it up in the microwave or throw it back in the pan and heat it that way. It is easier in the pan as you can then ensure it is evenly heated. If you don’t want to make everything from scratch then you could explore chicken bone broth in a packet.
Steak
A main dish that will never get old is steak. Every meat eater adores steak so you really can’t go wrong with this choice. Some people might like it pink inside while others don’t want to see anything pink at all. If you do decide to serve steak, ask your guests ahead of time how they want their steak cooked. This will save you some time during the evening. You can serve your steak with chips for a casual meal or you can go with mash potatoes and asparagus.
Eton Mess
If you want to create a show stopping dessert, then how about an Eton mess? Famously created in England, this messy dessert is much-loved amongst dinner parties. It is so easy to create so it won’t take you long at all. You can either buy the meringue or make it yourself, whatever you prefer. Then you just fill up the nests with your mixed strawberries and whipped cream. You can also crush the meringue nests into the mixture and serve in glass bowls if you prefer.
So get to planning your dinner party!
