Welcome to a weekend coffee share hosted by Natalie the Explorer ! I haven’t blogged in a few weeks. I feel like there has been so much going on and it is, as they say, a whirlwind. I haven’t been able to get a toehold but at the same time, I feel very hopeful for the future.
Making A Movie
We literally filmed a movie in our house (and a few other locations). As I have mentioned before, in this post, this has been my husband’s dream for a very, very long time so it was very exciting. The filming has finished now and a very talented cinematographer is working on the editing. And I’m living with a man who absolutely can’t wait to see how it looks. 😀 My house however is a disaster as I try to get it back in order. But, there is no question that it’s worth it. Brian is now, by definition, a “filmmaker” and who knows, maybe it will be a hit. Because, in my completely biased opinion, it’s gonna be good!

Going Back To Work
I have been on the job hunt and it has been extremely frustrating. The way the game is played feels like a really crappy romantic comedy; complete with gaslighting and ghosting. I think I have finally found a job but I’m waiting for an official offer. Whether I’m correct or mis-guided remains to be seen. The irony is that I have no interest in leaving my current part-time jobs but I need to bring more money in, that’s just the crappy reality of it all. But, I am really intrigued by this maybe new job so fingers crossed!
Going Back To School
Maybe the most exciting thing is that I’m going back to college! If this job search has told me anything, it has told me that I need that dang degree. Seeing all the jobs that I could totally do if I just had my BA to get me in the door was definitely a wake-up call. So, I stopped talking about it and actually did something! I’m re-enrolled and start classes in a handful of weeks. The good news is that I only have to take 5 classes (not 7 like I thought) so I will be done in the spring. 😁 I am so excited. It is bittersweet, though because my parents aren’t here to see me finally doing it. They wanted me to graduate so badly.
Pet Of The Week!
Before I end this, here is the pet of the week!
This is Moose! Our appropriately named Saint Bernard.

He came into our life because Lizzie desperately wanted a Saint Bernard. He was about 7 months when he was rehomed to us. If you have ever heard that Saint Bernards are stubborn, you heard right. He is extremely stubborn and a lot of work. He slobbers constantly and often jumps unexpectedly which is particularly frustrating because of his size. But, he also is the silliest, sweetest boy ever and I love him dearly. 😊
