So how’s everyone doing, man? Covid sucks, huh? I was going to write this a bit tongue in cheek but now that I think about it, I won’t. Too many bad things have happened. To put it mildly. Thankfully, they haven’t really touched me personally. (Besides a furloughed husband and trying to survive distance learning.) But, they have happened, nonetheless. And they are still happening.
I hope that most of you haven’t been too affected. But, that’s probably a bit naive of me to say. It’s such a scary time. I’m in Florida and I’m trying to keep my faith in my leaders who haven’t given me much reason to have faith.
But, that’s so not where I am heading with this!
I just want to say hi. I have had a really hard time blogging over this time period because what is there to say? I haven’t gone anywhere to talk about, haven’t tried anything to review and I haven’t had any deep and meaningful parenting moments. Well, except for the “come on, kid, I know you are not going anywhere but for your family’s sake….take a shower!: moments.
I have however joined the hoards of quarantine moms who have become obsessed with TikTok (just in time to potentially lose it!). It’s kind of hilarious how it doesn’t even seem like an app for teens anymore. They probably will collectively go running if I post one more video of me trying to do one of their dance trends.
I hope that everyone is hanging in there. I would love to hear from you. Where do you live? What’s it like there? How are you staying occupied while you can’t go out and occupy yourself in the same ways as before?
